Starting a no sew basket

No sew basket made of rag yarn and a rope.

Start with a strip of fabric, aproximately 3 feet long. Wrap the first 3 inches of the rope with the rag, winding clockwise, away from you. Cover approximately 1/2 inch of the previous wrap, so that you can’t see the rope.

Curl the end of the rope to a loop and hold it with your fingers. Put the strip in front of the loop and pull it back through the hole, using a crochet hook. Pull the strip to the front again just to the left of itself.
